Freedom Fest 2017

Theme: Old Glory

Corn-Hole Tournament Starts at 9:00 am at the City Park

Kids Fun Zone Hours 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Wife/Girl Friend carrying obstacle course time TBA

Gospel Concert: The Cornerstone Worship Band begins at 3:00 p.m. @ the corner of Broadway (State Rt. 37) & Collins Street.

 Parade Lineup

Parade Lineup starts at 3:00 p.m.

The parade lineup will be along Ferne Clyffe Rd. on the west side of the school.  There will be a registration booth in the High School Parking lot. We are asking, that if you are planning to be in the parade to let us know by June 30 This is not required but would be helpful and greatly appreciated.  Please let us know the total length of your float, including the vehicle pulling or pushing the float. This will help us with preparing the parade lineup


Parade begins at 4:00 p.m.

Please note the time change for this year’s parade. The parade time will now be 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the new parade schedule is to allow parade goers the opportunity to enjoy their day with friends, family, or at other events at Freedom Fest before attending the parade, which will now be held during a cooler part of the day.

Concert in the Park

6:00 p.m.

 The Freedom Fest Committee is proud to welcome as the headlining act..  Kali Lynn

 Kali Lynn, a Southern Illinois native, began singing in church at a very young age. A few of her musical influences include Miranda Lambert, Deana Carter, Martina McBride, and Faith Hill. She has been songwriting in Nashville for the past three years where she has had the opportunity to perform her original music at numerous writers rounds including The Blue Bird Cafe, The Listening Room, and The Commodore to name a few. Kali performs across the Southern Illinois Region for festivals, charities, special events, wineries, etc. She is very excited to announce her first original single titled Smoke Show which will release in 2017! Immediately following the concert, the day’s festivities will conclude with one of the biggest fireworks displays in Southern Illinois for small towns. The fireworks show will be displayed in close proximity to the concert stage. For spectator safety, please abide by all safety perimeters which will be marked.
